The structures we create become part of the living environment, affecting our living conditions, social well-being and health. Critical as it is, our approach to construction inculcates best practices on increasing the efficiency of resource use such as energy, water and materials. These measures help in reducing the impact on human health and the environment during the building's lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance and removal. We believe that reducing waste is essential to our footprint on reducing pollution and environmental degradation. Work place initiatives at URC, lay a keen emphasis on educating our people with regard to sustainable construction as a way to move towards achieving sustainable development, taking into account environmental, socioeconomic and cultural issues.
